Local Seattle-area businessman Ken Moninski has announced his candidacy for State Representative in Washington’s 5th Legislative District, Position 1 in August’s primary election. Moninski is running as a Republican to replace Democrat Bill Ramos who has held the seat since 2018.
Moninski lives in Maple Valley with his wife Stacey and their two daughters and is the owner and president of two aviation-related companies – Global Aircraft Services and Safeair Media.
“As we emerge from the impact of the coronavirus, the politics of the past will no longer serve the realities of the future,” said Moninski in his announcement. “Now is the time for new voices to amplify common-sense policies that revitalize our economy, enhance the education of our children, and allow us to return to normal while ensuring that we protect the most vulnerable among us.”
